There are many easy ways to restore hard drive data. One of them is to perform a recovery with the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free software.
Simple right? Well, this software can also retrieve files from a formatted drive, although there is still a possibility that the data has been corrupted.
The following is an example of how to retrieve deleted data
1. Open Data Recovery Wizard Free
There are many choices of file types that can be retrieved. Actually, almost all types of files can be recovered, but this option is only for specifying the target operation. For example, if you want to find an image file, just check the image file option.
2. Choose a location
There are 3 options, namely the Desktop folder, Libraries, and Hard Disk Drives. For example, you can use a flash, too.
3. Scan
Please wait until the search process is complete, but don't worry the process can be paused.
4. Deep Scan
You can use this feature after the normal Scan process is complete, with this feature the search process is carried out more deeply per sector of the hard disk. The process is longer than Quick Scan.
5. Recover
If you've found it, check it first with a preview and if that's the file, then select the Recover button in the lower right corner. Don't forget to check the files you want to save first.
The important things to remember!
- SSD has a different mechanism, when you activate TRIM then any deleted files will not be able to be restored. (reference: How-to Geek)
- In the case of a formatted HDD, it's better to remove the HDD and install it on another computer, don't install the recovery tool on the same HDD.
- Perform data recovery as quickly as possible, try to immediately retrieve the file after it is deleted.
- Not all files can be saved because there is still the possibility of corrupted files.
